| They went West with Elizabeth's sister Rachel Frain Strauss and family on the "Old Oregon Trail'. After seperating at Fort Hall they went south to Mendecino Co., CA. Their post office was FAllo and their settlement was Wildwood. They owned a large tract of redwood timber. John was born in Indiana and moved to Iowa to teach. Elizabeth was one of his students and they married when she was only thirteen years old. John later studied and became a doctor. |
